The proposed pilot study aims to determine the neuropsychological correlates of decision-making capacity among patients with mild cognitive impairment (MC). MCI patients lack traditionally defined functional decline and have more circumscribed cognitive impairments than patients with AD, making them a sueful model for studying the effects of isolated cognitive impairment on decisional capacity. The proposed pilot study uses a cross-sectional design with four groups. Participants will complete a neuropsychological protocol in conjunction with a well-known instrument of decisional capacity (MacCAT-CR). Between-group differences will be tested on the capacity measure, and relationships between this instrument and neuropsychological performances will be examined.
