PROJECT NARRATIVE
This proposal seeks to continue preclinical development of a liposomal formulation containing azithromycin as a
therapeutic strategy to modulate the inflammatory immune response associated with myocardial infarction. The
objectives of this proposal will improve our understanding of the dosing regimen, targeting of immune cells,
safety, and efficacy of our current lead formulation to continue pre-clinical development. These data will serve
as the basis for future clinical translation to reduce the burden of cardiac inflammation in patients.

Publications
Publications are associated with projects, but cannot be identified with any particular year of the project or fiscal year of funding. This is due to the continuous and cumulative nature of knowledge generation across the life of a project and the sometimes long and variable publishing timeline. Similarly, for multi-component projects, publications are associated with the parent core project and not with individual sub-projects.
